Crystal Ski, the UK’s number one ski tour operator, is supporting the fundraising efforts and works that Disability Snowsport UK provides to ensure anyone with a disability, may it be learning, sensory or physical, can ski or snowboard alongside other people. The five-a-side annual football tournament at Goals in Wembley, London, on 8 October 2013 has been organised to raise money for the charity and transform disabled people’s lives whereby the winning team will win a ski holiday to the Alps courtesy of Crystal Ski.

Players of all abilities are invited to enter a team, which is held in a competitive sprit but with the emphasis on fun. Teams should consist of up to seven members and are expected to provide their own kit, refreshments and transport to and from the venue. This event is open to all members of the winter sports community and beyond, with teams welcome from manufacturers, retail shops, ski resort representatives, holiday companies, ski clubs, instructors, hacks and other media people, past and present athletes as well as any winter sport enthusiast. Places in the tournament are limited to 24 teams and are subject to a first-come first-served basis. It will kick-off at 6.30pm and should be finished by 10.30pm
As a long time supporter of Disability Snowsport UK, Crystal Ski will be offering the winning team a ski holiday to the Alps. Other players will not be forgotten as there will be additional prizes up for grabs throughout the event which has been organised by Team Evolution, who provides alpine training programmes for young winter sports athletes.
Stretching approximately 1,200 kilometres the Alps are one of the great mountain ranges of Europe. They can be accessed through eight Alpine countries from Austria in the east to France in the west and Italy in the south. Winter snowsports enthusiasts can stay at the Hotel Petit Palais, Cervinia, Italy for seven nights for four sharing on an all inclusive board basis from £790 per adult. Skiers and snowboarders will receive free drinks with daily packed lunches to compliment the facilities of the hotel which includes free WiFi, sauna, Turkish bath and spacious lounge bar.
Those skiing or snowboarding with children can stay at the four-star Vitalhotel Gosau, Gosau, Austria from £715 per adult based on four sharing for seven nights. The hotel is situated a three minute walk from the resort centre and a one minute walk to the ski bus stop providing a central location. The hotel provides extensive wellness facilities with indoor pool, saunas, steam room, bar and lounge area with a children’s playroom and games room.
