Take a break in December to Bangkok to join in the celebrations of the Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair.
Founded in 1350, Ayutthaya was Thailand’s capital for four centuries. Situated 50 miles from Bangkok, the remarkable city was granted World Heritage site status by UNESCO in 1991, and now each December the Ayutthaya World Heritage Fair takes place to mark the anniversary of receiving this recognition.
Taking place in December, the week long vibrant celebrations feature exhibitions showcasing traditional handicrafts and local customs.
You can enjoy this yearly celebration and still be home in time for Christmas with the family.
